Spiral patterns are among the most spiritual symbols of Neolithic Europe, as they are possibly symbols of the cyclic seasons of birth, life, and death or afterlife. The triquetra is an interconnected Celtic triangle pattern. The triskele and triquetras here represent the three elemental realms of Earth, Air, and Water – or Land, Sky, and Sea. In this original design, pairs of double spirals meet and diverge in a meander pattern. They balance and weave together, representing the cyclic rhythm of day and night, the movement between the above and below, the inner and the outer.
