Description Alternative “If They Treat You Like Shit – Act Like Manure” LP A reissue of the classic album of passionate protest songs, awash with melodies and thoughtful, high-passion outrage. Released by Crass Record’s off-shoot label, Corpus Christie, back in 1985 at the tail-end of the great anarcho wars. Following-on from the In Nomine Patri 7″ that was released on Crass Records in 1983. Alternative were Dunfermline’s anarchist anti-heroes, heavily influenced by the gospel according to Crass, but adding their own unique musical variations to the familiar military beats and fuzzed-out electric guitars of their black-clad brethren. They also brought the freshness of Northern voices to a scene that was all too Southern-centric, where vocalists often adopted a London accent regardless of their provincial origins.
