Description Amenity “This Is Our Struggle: Anthology 1989-2009” LP Long over-due recognition and a vinyl reissue of this hardcore band who were active in the San Diego area back in the late 1980s and into the early 1990s. I for one am happy they have not been forgotten, because the impact of their style – a heavy, groove based variant of straight edge hardcore that was both melodic, (in a DC way), plus sonically and emotionally intense, (like, say, Chain Of Strength) – had a sizable impact back in the day. Furthermore, they were pioneers of a fresh, new style and sound, later made popular by a number of Revelation-related bands during the 1990s. Collected here is an anthology of the recordings made from 1989 onwards. That includes the two 7″s on Vinyl Communications Records, plus the Breathe and Chula Vista 7″s.
