Tiger about to leap – a large French bronze art deco Tiger statue by Georges Lavroff. Signed to the bronze and numbered. It is silvered bronze and mounted on a Belgian black marble base. George Lavroff was born Georgui Dimitrievitch Lavrov (Lavroff) in Siberia in 1895. This statue dates to the late 1920s – early 1930s. Condition is very good with just a couple of small marble chips to the base edges as one would expect. 24 inches (61cm) long, 6 inches (15cm) deep and 9 inches (23cm) high.
