Description The Attack “The Attack Is Back” LP Compiling together 17 tracks of never-before-heard pre-hardcore New York/Lower East Side punk from the late 1970s. Formed by three guys from Astoria, Queens in 1979, The Attack, after frequent shows at Max’s Kansas City, CBGB and 171A, became permanent fixtures at the A7 club performing alongside other young New York bands like The Stimulators, The Undead and The Eliminators. While some members sadly ended-up dead, or in prison, other folk stepped in to help out (including Vinnie Stigma) before the two remaining founding members went on to form Murphys Law and Krieg Kopf. In April of 1981 the band had entered Second Story Sound in Long Island City to record an album. Seven songs were recorded, but due to a lack of funds the tapes were shelved and the record was never released, until now. Also including ten live songs, plus a 12″x24″ full color insert filled with band ephemera and liner notes. The Attack Is Back by The Attack
