Description Texas Is The Reason “Texas Is The Reason: TX30 Special Edition” 12″ EP Their self-titled EP, a landmark record of the mid-nineties, one of the finest recorded moments of the era, finally available once again and reissued as a special edition 12” EP. Having previously provided services to Shelter, Ressurection, Fountainhead and 108, when these four guys formed Texas Is The Reason in 1994 they were spearheading a new moment in post hardcore. A fusion of melodic indie-rock with emo intensity and introspection, plus the mid-paced grooves of 90’s New York hardcore. Originally released as a three track 7″, this TX30 12″ reissue is the first of three upcoming releases that mark the 30th anniversary of the band and their landmark album, Do You Know Who You Are?  Now available with the additional track “Something to Forget (Version I)” which was originally released in 1995 on the split 7” with Samuel (and later re-recorded by J. Robbins in 1996 and included on the album). “Each release will include expanded art and booklets featuring never-before-seen photos, flyers, and other means of telling the band’s story.
