Crafted from high-quality porcelain clay, fired with semi-matte glaze, and finished with high-quality ceramic transfers. Craftsmanship Process Our bowls are meticulously crafted through a three-stage firing process. We start by press-molding the clay body and applying a delicate, semi-matte eggshell glaze with subtle speckles. The inside of the bowl is hand-sprayed with glaze first, followed by two precise spray applications on the exterior to achieve a smooth, creamy finish. Skilled artisans then hand-transfer the screen-printed pattern around the bowl. After an initial firing, illustrations and the Poppy & Pepper brand stamp are added, and the bowl is fired once more to perfect the finish. Design Our side bowl is inspired by a 1930s teacup and saucer, featuring an elevated foot and a gently inward-tilting edge. The bowl is adorned with a continuous pattern and includes a semi-window design that elegantly frames illustrations of flannel flowers. To enhance its charm, leaves naturally flare out into the bowl.
