Our sweet wax flowers and ladybug are illustrated by talented Australian artist Rachel Gyan. Ideal for: decorating your dining room, impressing guests, or presenting as a thoughtful gift for special occasions. Crafted from high-quality porcelain clay, fired with semi-matte glaze, and finished with high-quality ceramic transfers. Craftsmanship process Our plates undergo a meticulous two-stage firing process. First, we use press moulding to shape the clay body and apply a softly speckled eggshell glaze in a semi-matte finish. The plates are dipped in glaze and then sprayed again before the final firing. Artisans hand-transfer screen-printed illustrations to the centre of each plate, finishing with a Poppy & Pepper brand stamp on the bottom. Design Our dessert plate is inspired from a pair of teacup & saucer made in the 1930s, with a short inward-tilting edge and elevated foot. A small group of illustrations centres the plate.
