Material Crafted from high-quality porcelain clay, fired with semi-matte glaze, and finished with high-quality ceramic transfers. Craftsmanship Process The Rosella Bowl undergoes a meticulous three-stage firing process to achieve its exquisite finish. We begin by pressing the moulded clay body, followed by an initial firing with a semi-matte, lightly speckled eggshell glaze. As the largest piece in the collection, it is spray-glazed inside and out, with the exterior receiving two coats. The intricate pattern and illustrations are then screen-printed and meticulously hand-transferred by artisans. This process involves two additional firings- first for the pattern, then for the illustrations and the Poppy & Pepper brand logo. Design Our largest bowl resembles a traditional Chinese teacup, the Harmony Cup, with an inward-tilting edge and elevated foot. Stunning Rosellas surrounded by magnificent pink gum flowers and framed in ‘windows’. Flower branches flare into the bowl for an unconventional finish. The remaining exterior is covered in a hairline chainmail pattern in turquoise.
