Crafted from high-quality porcelain clay, fired with a semi-matte glaze, and finished with high-quality ceramic transfers. Craftsmanship Process Our side bowls are crafted through a precise three-stage firing process. We begin by press-molding the clay body and applying a delicate, semi-matte eggshell glaze with light speckles. The inside of the bowl is hand-sprayed with glaze first, followed by two meticulous spray applications on the exterior to create a smooth, creamy finish. Skilled artisans then carefully hand-transfer the screen-printed pattern around the bowl. After an initial firing, illustrations and the Poppy & Pepper brand stamp are added and the bowl is fired once more to complete the process. Design Our side bowl draws inspiration from a 1930s teacup and saucer, featuring an elevated foot and a gently inward-tilting edge. The bowl is adorned with a continuous pattern that frames delicate pincushion illustrations within a semi-window design. Leaves naturally flare out into the bowl, adding a charming touch.
