Crafted from high-quality porcelain clay, fired with semi-matte glaze, and finished with high-quality ceramic transfers. Craftsmanship process Our ware undergoes a meticulous three-stage firing process. Initially, we press the moulded clay body and fire it with a semi-matte, lightly speckled eggshell glaze. The second largest piece in the collection is hand-sprayed inside with glaze, followed by two careful layers of spray on the exterior to achieve a smooth, creamy finish. Artisans then meticulously hand-transfer the screen-printed pattern around the bowl, followed by firing. Illustrations are added and the bowl is fired once more to complete the process. Design Our Honeyeater bowl resembles a traditional Chinese teacup, the Harmony Cup, with an inward-tilting edge and elevated foot. Two sides of the bowl feature beautiful honey eaters adorned by lush delicate pink wax flowers that stretch inside the bowl. All are framed in ‘half windows’ shaped by a hairline Buddhism pattern in an imperial yellow colour.
